One of the most important components of Cajon High School is the partnership between home, school, and community.  Throughout the year, we have the opportunity to develop this partnership in various ways.  Families can participate in our special events, attend our advisory meetings (SSC, ELAC, AAPAC, LAC), and/or participate in other school and district-level meetings, workshops, and events. At this time we are excited to announce openings for both parent and student representatives to our School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Council, African American Parent Advisory Council, and Latino Advisory Council.

Many of the Parent Engagement efforts are Cajon are supported by our Title I Program.  The Title I Program at Cajon High School provides support schoolwide and to specific student subgroups such as socioeconomically disadvantaged, English Language Learners, Foster/Homeless, and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) students to help increase academic achievement and eliminate achievement gaps. The Title I Program also supports staff development and parental training to ensure that all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate proficient and advanced levels of achievement on state academic achievement standards.

Parents are encouraged to take in active role in shaping the Title I program at Cajon High School by serving as elected parent representatives and/or attending meetings.  Parents are nominated others or self-nominate by completing the nomination forms at the beginning of each school year. Please review our specific advisory group pages for additional information.
