Parent Groups at CHS

Cajon's School Site Council (SSC) is responsible for reviewing and updating the school LCAP plan, approving the Title I budget, and assisting in the school improvement process. The SSC is a voting body made up of elected parents, students, and staff.  Parents can nominate themselves or another parent representative by completing nomination forms at the beginning of every school year. The African American Advisory Committee (AAPAC), English Language Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC), and Latino Advisory Committee (LAC) are made up of interested parents and staff. These groups provide input to the SSC to address the specific needs of their student groups.

Everyone is welcome to attend any and all of the group meetings. Refreshments and childcare are provided at each meeting (when in-person). If you would like more information on any of these parent groups or are interested in serving on the School Site Council, please contact Cajon's Program Facilitator at 909-475-5598 . 

*Note: In-person SSC, AAPAC, ELAC, and LAC meetings will be held in Room C-24 (Parent Center) unless health mandates once again take effect. However, virtual meetings are also offered using Google Meet to provide families with hybrid options.  Please visit each parent group page for links to virtual meetings. 

School Site Council (SSC)

Cajon's SSC is responsible for reviewing and updating Cajon's School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), reviewing & approving the Title I budget, monitoring the school's LCAP Plan, and assisting in the school improvement process. The SSC is a voting body made up of elected members. Elected members consist of 3 parents, 3 students, and 4 teachers, 1 other staff member , and the Principal. Elected members serve a 2-year term.  If you are interested in joining or have questions, please contact Cajon's Program Facilitator at 909-475-5598. Cajon's 23-24 SSC meetings are currently being offered in a hybrid format of In-Person (Room C-24) & Virtual (Google Meet).
